Why? The Aiki Principle of “Getting Off the Line” is an innovative practice for self-care, conflict resolution and personal mastery. It is a skill that provides us an option besides fight, flight or freeze. This is a powerful and healthy practice that allows us to choose where to place ourselves while facing challenges or stress.
What? In this module, we will learn to experience these distinctions:
~ Taking a stand
~ Stress Responses ~ Energy Lines
~ Getting off the Line ~ Centering ~ Responding vs Reacting
How? All of our practices are experiential in nature. Embodiment, Centering and Awareness are key to informing us how to move while under pressure from both internal and external forces. Awareness of how energies move through us when we are triggered or under stress is one of the first steps to finding and experiencing mastery. Focusing, inquiry, movement and dialogue practices will be utilized.
Who? Anyone who wants to be more present and skillful while meeting life’s challenges.
Where? In the beautiful and serene studio of the Aiki Consciousness Institute in Sebastopol, CA.
